Quick answers for hosts and players
🙌 How many players?
3 or more. Phones join by scanning the QR code on the TV screen. The more people on the couch, the better it gets.
📱 Do guests need the app?
No. Only the Apple TV runs the app. Everyone else plays from their phone's browser. Nothing to install, no accounts.
🤖 Android phones?
Yes. Any phone with a browser and a camera can play. iPhone and Android friends are equally welcome.
📶 Phone won't connect?
Your phone and the Apple TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network. If it still won't join, check that your phone isn't on a guest network or a VPN. The game runs entirely on your local network.
🚪 Left mid-game?
Rejoin from the same phone and your seat and score are restored. Bathroom breaks are survivable.
🌶️ Is After Dark safe for kids?
No. After Dark is 17+ for a reason. Pick 👨👩👧 Family mode with kids in the room; it's the same game, minus the spice.
