Privacy Policy
Effective August 28, 2026 · Applies to the Porch Party tvOS app and this website
The short version
Porch Party collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no data ever leaves your local network. We couldn't sell your data if we wanted to, because we never have it.
How the game works
- The game runs entirely on your Apple TV. There are no game servers and no internet play.
- Phones join by scanning a QR code and talk to the Apple TV directly over your local Wi-Fi network only.
- Names, avatars, questions, votes, and scores live in the Apple TV's memory during the game and are gone when the app closes. Nothing is saved, uploaded, or shared.
What about the phone browser page?
The controller page that opens on your phone uses your browser's localStorage for exactly one thing: remembering the name and avatar you picked, on your own device, so you don't have to retype them between rounds. That data never leaves your phone, and clearing your browser data removes it.
No accounts, no sign-ins
There is nothing to sign up for. The app never asks for an email address, phone number, or any other personal information.
No analytics or third parties
The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code of any kind, and shares nothing with third parties. This website is a static page with the same policy: no analytics, no cookies, no trackers.
Age rating
Porch Party is rated 17+ because one optional game mode (After Dark) contains mature written content. The Family and Party modes are the same game without it.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated before that version ships, with a new effective date above.
